About Us

The dream of The Estates at Laytonsville began when founder Betty Kasasa worked in a nursing home. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, Betty met deeply unhappy residents. One day a new patient of Betty’s began to cry. The patient had never before been treated with such kindness.

The Estates at Laytonsville is a special community of residential homes each limited to eight private suites. We are family owned and operated. Here, residents’ needs matter. Whether the agenda is meals or interests, our seniors receive highly individualized care. Many have relocated from larger facilities.

Our continuum of care services includes assisted living and memory care for residents with Alzheimer’s Disease, dementia or other memory loss. Our small resident-to-staff ratio ensures seniors receive loving and attentive caretaking.

Living a healthy and thriving lifestyle means engaging in enriching pursuits. Our residents choose from special activities, on-site movie theater, fitness, scheduled excursions and more. Each according to his or her own interests.

One of the benefits of our smaller community is we work with adult children to ensure their loved ones are receiving the type of care they need. We listen closely to families and incorporate their care and lifestyle recommendations.
